L'Orchestre Métropolitain avec Yannick Nézet-Séguin
The Orchestre Métropolitain’s soul and conductor is the brilliant Yannick Nézet-Séguin, who recently celebrated his 40th birthday. And he is a busy! He currently holds leadership posts with the Orchestre Métropolitain, the Philadelphia Orchestra and the Rotterdam Philharmonic, performing concerts around the globe. Now 34 years old, the Métropolitain attracts more than 200,000 spectators annually — and its future looks brighter than ever under the guidance of its dynamic captain. On the programme in Saint-Sauveur are two favourites: Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture, and Dvorak’s renowned Symphony No. 9 “From the New World.”
