Opéra Immédiat presents Gaetano Donizetti's tragic opera Lucia di Lammermoor (1839)
Opéra Immédiat was founded in 2009 by Sophie De Cruz, soprano and conductor. Together with a dynamic team of fellow classical music professionals, she has successfully set out to put on one opera per year.
In 2014, Opéra Immédiat presents Lucia di Lamermoor, a tragic opera set in the Lammermuir Hills of Scotland (Lammermoor) in the 17th century. The story unravels around an emotionally fragile Lucy Ashton (Lucia), who is caught in a feud between her own family and that of the Ravenswoods.
