Claudette Dion chante Piaf
At 47, Edith Piaf disappeared, leaving lasting memories of songs and stories of a life at once grandiose and disorderly. We can only honor this great songbird: Claudette Dion sings Piaf.
With all the innocence, tenderness and talent that she is known for, Claudette Dion makes us rediscover the repertoire of the great Edith Piaf while reciting stories from Edith’s life, the joys and the sadness. Piaf’s life is just as fascinating as her songs and the show will bring back the memories of a time when Paris was full of poetry and passion.
Claudette Dion is surrounded by four musicians, two singers, and will be joined by Jean Sebastien Lavoie for a few duets of Piaf’s work, reliving the golden age of French song. She gives us interpretations sometimes touching, sometimes funny yet always full of truth and sensitivity.
After many performances at the Montreal Casino and a well received performance at the Olympia in Paris, Claudette Dion is back with a new version of this magnificent show. She chose the anniversary of the death of Edith Piaf to restore her honor and revive the most beautiful songs of this great artist.
