Projeto Coisa Fina is big band from Sao Paulo, formed by thirteen young musicians: four saxophones, two trumpets, two trombones, piano, guitar, bass, drums and percussion.

The group promotes a musical experience that fuses jazz elements, baïao, maracatu and samba, creating a unique experience that revitalizes Brazilian music.

The band started in 2005, playing in alternative venues of Sao Paulo to young crowds of instrumental music lovers. Since then, the group has performed in various theaters. Among them: Araraquara, Ribeirão Preto, Campinas, Sao Jose dos Campos, Pine (SP), Sleaford (SP), Santana (SP) and important places and events of the jazz scene such as the Bourbon Street Music Club, Bohemia and Talents Upset Cultural.

It also has been invited to perform musical presentations and workshops at major international festivals such as:
Percpan 2010 (Salvador / BA) - Savassi Festival 2010 (Belo Horizonte / MG) - Film Festival Paulínia 2011 (Paulínia / SP) - MIMO - International music in 2011 Olinda (Olinda / PE).

On June 23rd, Projeto Coisa Fina will present its first show in Montreal, right after a visit at the Ottawa Jazz Festival. Its Homage to Moacir Santos is sure to fill the Rialto with the Brazilian sun and rhythms!
