Zeitouni & Gluzman : Beethoven and the avant-gardePostponed - date to be determined
Vadim Gluzman, one of the finest violinists on the world stage, reunites with his former confederate Jean-Marie Zeitouni in a program that brings together the sublime and the avant-garde. Beethoven's Concerto for violin is presented in a new light with the insertion of Alfred Schnittke's cadenzas. But first, Gluzman and Julie Triquet, I Musici's concertmaster, exchange compliments in Schnittke's whimsical Concerto Grosso No. 1. To open the concert, I Musici expands to interpret Prokofiev's vibrant Classical Symphony.
